Thomson Reuters Journalism Course on Multimedia Reporting

Thomson Reuters Journalism Course on Multimedia Reporting

The Thomson Reuters Foundation the philanthropic arm of Thomson Reuters, invites journalists from First Nations.

As news organisations seek to engage audiences through visual storytelling and creative use of social media, demand is growing for multimedia formats that go beyond traditional print. This hands-on workshop will equip participants with the skills necessary to combine text, stills and video for maximum impact.

The mid-2015 model was released in May with internals component upgrades and a pressure-sensitive Force Touch trackpad. The 15-inch model's debut was preceded by the 13-inch version, which also brought Force Touch and faster flash storage to the laptop line.

The course will cover photo journalism and video journalism, including filming, editing video and writing to pictures, the use of stills and sound, and how to combine media to tell a compelling story. Participants will learn to use social media and distribute reports that meet international standards.
